Since 1982, lawyer Sally Lawing has handled medical malpractice suits throughout North Carolina. In 1999, she shifted her emphasis from defending hospitals and doctors to representing patients and their families. Sally is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also received her law degree with honors in 1982. She was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar the same year. In addition to the state bar association, she is an active member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the Greensboro Bar Association. She is admitted to U.S. Federal Court, Middle District of North Carolina. An active and highly experienced trial lawyer, she was the first North Carolina woman elected to the American College of Trial Lawyers. She was also elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates in 1999. She has been selected to Best Lawyers in America continually since 1995 and has been selected to the Super Lawyers list from 2006-2014.
